The founder of R12 Financial has worked for the leading banks and leading private client groups in the United States providing financial advice to entrepreneurs, executives, and high-net-worth clients for the past 18 years. One very important aspect of his success is having a long history of building relationships with clients based on understanding their goals and creating innovative solutions to achieve them. Over the years, one issue that continued to come up was in the area of credit card processing and their billing practices. We found that even the most savvy and successful business owners did not have a good understanding of how and what they were getting billed for. We started looking into the world of credit card processing, and it soon became evident why there was so much confusion.

Most merchant services employ multiple layers of representatives between the point of sale system and the merchant's business bank account; each layer adds complexity to the contract and costs to the merchant. Furthermore, the monthly statements were often unclear as to exactly how much they were being charged for the different types of transactions they were processing. Finally, the majority of the contracts used language that was so difficult to understand that most merchants just accepted what they had and moved on to other aspects of doing business.

Through our research, we identified key areas of opportunity and developed systems for making it easier for the merchant. We designed a better approach and took our ideas to the leading providers in the country. As a result, we have created strategic partnerships with these providers that give merchants a single source of for the entire process. The result is an efficient, cost effective, and transparent experience for the merchants.
